Starting this upcoming school year, the Hoosier Academies Network of Schools will offer an additional online school option. Insight School of Indiana will work with students in grades 7-12 to help them overcome obstacles with a unique and highly supportive approach.

"Our focus is on helping different kinds of learners get a great education," said Dr. Byron Ernest, Head of Schools at Hoosier Academies. "The new Insight School of Indiana has a special mission to empower students who have struggled with their education in the past, for many different reasons."

The Hoosier Academies curriculum is designed to adapt to each student’s unique learning style. This allows the student to determine the pace of the lessons, giving advanced learners the ability to move ahead more quickly than they might be able to in a traditional classroom. Students can also opt to progress more slowly through the lessons and concepts that they find more challenging. This flexibility, combined with support from Hoosier teachers and the student’s Learning Coach (typically the parent or guardian), encourages a true grasp of the skills and material.

Hoosier Academies is open to all students in grades K through 12 who reside in Indiana. The rigorous and engaging curriculum offered by the school includes courses in language arts/English literature, math, science, history, art and physical education/wellness, as well as elective and Advanced Placement® courses for high school students. State-certified teachers provide instruction, guidance and support, and interact with students and parents via email, web-based classrooms, online discussions, phone and face-to-face meetings. As a public school option, there is no tuition.

Hoosier Academy Indianapolis, the blended program, includes in-person instruction for part of the week at one of the school's two Learning Centers. The remainder of the week includes coursework completed online.

Earlier this summer Hoosier Academies challenged enrolled families to prevent summer ‘brain drain’ by offering currently enrolled students free access to LearnBop, a self-paced solution that simulates a one-on-one, personalized math tutoring experience. The award-winning online program will continue to be available free of charge throughout the fall and can be used alongside the regular math curriculum to build math skills or prepare for high-level exams.

Hoosier Academies and Insight School of Indiana are still accepting enrollments for this fall. To learn more, visit http://ha.k12.com/ or http://in.insightschools.net/ and follow on Facebook.
